A Cookie recipe

Double Decker Cookie Cakes

There aren’t many kids who don’t love coming home from school to a big plate of chocolate chip cookies.

I decided to use Betty Crocker frosting and sprinkles to turn ordinary cookies in to MAGIC!!  It only takes a few extra minutes, but the extra effect will have your kid’s faces lighting up as soon as they walk through the door!!

Three cookies are sandwiched between layers of frosting, then topped with cookie frosting and sprinkles.  I used my favorite homemade cookie recipe, but you could do this with store bought cookies if you’re short on time.

What you need:

-Baked cookies (homemade or store bought)

-Betty Crocker Cupcake Icing (variety of your choice)

-Betty Crocker Cookie Decorating Icing (variety of your choice)

-Cake Mate Rainbow Sprinkles

Directions:

Using the star tip that comes with the Betty Crocker Cupcake Icing, cover the surface of a cookie with icing.  Top with another cookie and repeat.

Using Betty Crocker Cookie Decorating Icing, squirt icing to the edges of the top cookie.  Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles before the icing sets.

Magic is served!!

I would have to locke these up and throw away the key so that there would be some left for kids when they got home from school. YUM! and fun :)
