- 1 box of Betty Crocker Yellow Butter Cake
- 1 21 oz can of Apple pie filling
- 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon
- 2 eggs
What else you need:
- 6 push pop containers
- 6 red apples (any apple with thicker skin is good)
- Betty Crocker Chocolate Decorating Cupcake Icing

- Betty Crocker Decorating Decors Football Mix
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350.
Cut the top of your apples off and with a melon baller or grapefruit spoon, carefully remove the inside of each apple (don’t puncture the peel) Put lemon juice on the top part of the apple you cut off to keep it from browning, remove the stems, and set all aside.
Mix cake mix, entire can of pie filling, cinnamon, and eggs until mixed well. Spoon some mix into the apples about 2/3 full and place the rest of the mix in 2 8 inch pans. Bake cake for 20-25 minutes and apples 25- 30 minutes.
Once apples have cooled, frost the tops with Cake Mate Glitter Icing in Shimmering Red with Cake Mate Star Tip Decorating Tip. Place the apple tops on top of the frosted cupcakes.
Once cakes have cooled, use one of the push pop containers to cut 12 circles out of the cake. Cut the bottom part of the cake off, the darker part.
Using the Cake Mate Glitter Icing in Shimmering Red with Cake Mate Star Tip Decorating Tip, frost the bottom of the push pop container.
Push one piece of cake into the container and slide 2 football sprinkles half way between the cake and container to look like seeds.
Place a dime size amount of the Betty Crocker Chocolate Decorating Cupcake Icing on top of the cake and carefully push another piece of cake into the container leaving a small gap at the top.
Frost the tops with Cake Mate Glitter Icing in Shimmering Red with Cake Mate Star Tip Decorating Tip and place the apple stems you saved earlier into the top middle of the frosting.
